As of 6 AM this morning dad was breathing on his own. They did an extubation around 10:30 AM. The old "fountain" isn't bubbling and the new one is just a little bit. We need the Cardiovascular Team to come by his room desperately to give us info on "a plan". Mom hasn't seen or heard from them yet. Dad seems to be in good spirits today. I will update today again when I hear something.
Dad is finally having surgery! Thursday is the big day! They are performing a VATS.
